A solid foundation of basics spares you of the needy desire to buy plenty of new clothes every time the season changes. The even better news is that your look will continue to look fresh. One of the staple colour duos for winter style is the rich and warm black and camel (here, in the form of truly classic pieces). Punctuate the look with a pair of blue jeans and you’ve got yourself a perennial winter uniform.

Hi,
I do fully agree with your choice and statement.Though even classics need to be refreshed from time to time. By the way your blog is beautiful as well as your articles.
Hi, Catia. Of course one needs a few new items every season to break up the classics. It’s what keeps one’s style fresh and helps it evolve. I am glad you like my blog.
i love that coat. i love the easy style of it and it looks so comfortable, yet incredible chic.
It’s the kind of coat that does all the styling for you once you have it on.
This is what I’m trying to do with my wardrobe, with somewhat limited success. I’m trying! And I love the combo of black and camel. Black and denim. Denim and camel. Love them all. I’m reading a novel right now, (a super easy quickie read) where the protagonist is a buyer for Christie’s. She has names for all of her outfits. “The suit that makes New Englanders comfortable.” “The St. Johns for talking to Southerners.” She takes note that her boss likes a beige dress of hers and resolves to always wear beige when she meets with her. I don’t know why, but this post on having a uniform reminded me of that in the best way!
