I hope you enjoyed your weekend (have you watched the Academy Awards? I’m so glad The King’s Speech won) and you’re headed towards a great new week. First of all, I would like to say a heartful thank you to lovely Natalia at fashionedbylove for the Stylish Blogger Award.
According to the rules of receiving this award you have to link back to the person who awarded you, share 7 things about yourself, award 10 great bloggers, contact those bloggers and tell them about the award.
So here are seven things about myself.
I’ve been collecting fashion magazines since I don’t remember when. I have stacks of magazines I constantly browse for inspiration and leave marks on the pages.
I love travelling. Not only trips planned in advance, but spontaneous one day getaways. And for an escape during the weekdays the excitement is double.
I have actually seen all the films featured on Classiq. My husband and I have discovered this common passion for classic movies some years ago and now we have an impressive collection of films, still growing:) I don’t have a favourite movie, they are so many, but I do have an all time favourite comedy: Teacher’s Pet starring Clark Gable and Doris Day. I always laugh with tears.
When I was little I loved drawing. These are two of some sketches I made when I was in school, I don’t remember which grade, but I was so happy and amused to find them when I visited my parents for Christmas last year. As it turns out, fashion has been on my mind for quite some time.
I always carry my camera in my bag. I love taking pictures, lots of them, but I don’t like being photographed. Instantaneous shots are the ones I look the best in.
I should wear glasses, but I don’t.
I’ve always wanted to do something creative. My blog is a challenge I’ve set myself in this regard and I’m trying to rise to it and fill it with my daily inspirations, desires and discoveries.
I would now like to pass the award onto these lovely ladies and I hope this will contribute a little to a very beautiful Monday:

OMG OMG OMG!!!! This is such an honour!!! Thank you, this just made my day! I must say I’m not the most stylish at the moment, as one souvenir from London I brought back home is a cold,….but now I have to share secrets about myself…hihihi…should be fun!Kiss kiss and a wonderful week for you and all the other stylish bloggers around!!!
Hi Ada! Thank you so much for the award and for letting me know via email! So thoughtful of you. I need to check out that Clark Cable movie, that screen cap makes me laugh out loud! The sketches you did were wonderful! I’m always drawing when I was little too! I’ve made a decision to purse my passion for graphic design because I’ve always had an interest in it but didn’t pay much attention to it because my parents were always pressuring me to do things I wasn’t into. xoxoxoo
Congratulations on your award Ada and thank you for passing it on to me. I never blog about these awards but it doesn’t mean that I don’t appreciate them.
Keep up the good work girl; your blog is a wonderful inspiration!
Oh la la… What an honor! Thank you dear!
Hey darling! I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVED your homework. 🙂 And it’s sweet/funny that we seem to have more and more things in commmon. 🙂 Almost spooky. You already know about my love for magazines and travelling (although mags collecting is a whole new story), I loved sketching and drawing at school and uni, including outfit sketching (I used Burda Moden for inspiration and made paper clothes for a paper doll 🙂 as well as little proper clothes for Barbi later, yet another story… ), I used to be shortsighted (BIG time) but refused to wear glasses (had it surgically fixed when I was 22 – thank God Russians pioneered this kind of surgery, although I was certainly not the first crop of patients, in case you wonder how old I am 😉 ), AND the most spooky thing is that I also HATE being photographed specifically… I get THE FACE as soon as I know the camera is focused on me. :))) But I am practicing and hoping to get better at posing properly… 🙂
Oh, I guess I should stop, really, otherwise my comment will look more like an ABOUT ME post.
Have a great day!

@LittleRus
Wow, we do have some things in common. I’m glad I’ve made you share more things about yourself. 🙂
Ada, thank you so much for passing your very well deserved award on to me! I really appreciate it. It so nice to read more about you, you’ve turned the seven things into a great post! And your creative desires are manifesting themselves here so greatly, I love visiting your blog and getting inspired. Your drawings look good too, are you ever going to do something with drawing again?
Wish you a great week!

Thank you for the sweet words, Christel. The appreciation is mutual. About my drawing, I sometimes feel sorry I haven’t given it more importance and the fact that I haven’t pursued it more thoroughly. But it’s never too late and I’m thinking all I need to do is to find the right direction to canalize it to.
Congrats on the award! So well deserved 🙂
Hi Ada,
Thank you for the award. I’m flattered. I like you always keep a camera in my bag and it makes it so heavy.
P.S. I did this not while ago and I’m afraid to bore people with doing it again. If you would like to know of the things about me here is the link. Thank you again for the award.
I’m sorry I forgot to add the link. https://bellevivir.blogspot.com/2011/01/chanel-by-jean-leymarie.html
