Welcome to a new week. How was your weekend? Mine was filled with Christmas decorating, yes, I couldn’t resist the enthusiasm any longer, a little work, long walks, reading and watching a couple of classic movies, of course – this is on every weekend’s agenda.
Had I been in London I would have loved to take part in Ralph Lauren’s first London Tweed Run. On Saturday was marked the opening of their Rugby flagship store in Covent Garden, with a 12 mile stylish bike ride through London. The dress code was dashing tweed and the aim was to show how the iconic fabric can be young, glamorous and fashion-forward. Which is the concept of the brand as well, bringing together Ralph Lauren’s legacy of traditional tweed and heritage looks, but with Rugby’s streetwise twist. As a tweed lover I couldn’t be happier about the idea. There were special activities too, like the classic Tea Break, an exclusive soiree and prizes for the Best Vintage Bicycle, Most Dapper Chap and Most Dashing Dame. Just a perfect way to spend your Saturday. I hope your week is off to a wonderful start!
