Here are my latest finds and news from fashion, film, design, photography and beautiful living.
• A new collector’s edition book by Louis Vuitton Publishing: Seydou Keïta Photographs. Seydou Keïta is considered one of the most influential portrait photographers of the 20th century, often compared to Richard Avedon for his ability of capturing the uniqueness in the people he photographs. With over 50 titles published Louis Vuitton continues to be a pioneer of the luxury industry from this point of view as well. The book will be available in the bookstores within the most important Louis Vuitton stores in the world.
• My friend Lisa, of LatteLisa, is hosting a fabulous giveaway: ELLA fragrance. ELLA by Elinros Lindal is an Icelandic fashion brand launched in 2011 and the designer’s Autumn-Winter 2012-2013 collection, V for Victory, inspired by the post-war years and ’70s glamour and having actress Lauren Hutton as muse, was presented during the New York Fashion Week and has received very good reviews. I’ve picked my favourite: the white dress trimmed in black.
• I have recently browsed through two great film books in a bookstore: 100 Ideas that Changed Film and Silent Movies: The Birth of Film to the Triumph of Movie Culture. I highly recommend them and I can’t wait to add them to my collection.
• It’s Dior Fashion Week on Fashioned by Love.
• Words of wisdom from Tom Ford.
• A beautiful blog I’ve just discovered: Little Brown Pen. Nichole Robertson, the author, has recently published a photography book, Paris in Color.
• Mediterranean style in Paradise Valley, Arizona.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Where do we start? What a beautifully bound and presented book of photographs. Such detail. I will be going over to LatteLisa and signing up for that giveaway today! The more read of Tom Ford the more I like the man – such honesty and such beauty. He obviously very spiritual and authentic. Paris in Color – such a beautiful thing… I must track that down. Thank you for sharing these great links this week. Have a lovely weekend Ada :)x
That book looks amazing, will certainly have a look! Have a great weekend! xoxo

Ada, you really surprised me with your post, I wasn’t expecting to find the ELLA fragrances in your Notebook pages. Thank you.
I’d really like to browse through that book. Hopefully, they have it in their shop in Luxembourg. I’m loving the vintage Dior ads that Natalia is posting this week and of course I always enjoy reading the history of the fashion houses. Little Brown Pen is essential for Paris lovers 😉
PS. I’m enjoying ‘appins’ and coffee while viewing your post 😉
Ada, you said some magic things here, but the one that drew my attention was the Mediterranean…I am now thinking about summer and holidays and staying by the pool or sea with a good book. But until then, I will be reading some Dior posts, I will enter into Lisa’s competition, wink, and enjoy some free time in the mountains! Have a beautiful and sunny weekend, Ada :*
Thank you so much for the mention and thinking of me, darling!!! This is when I know those post aren’t written in vain. I am loving the book so much, it’s so beautifully presented! Off to check the rest of the links and visit Lisa’s blog asap. 🙂
Wishing you a beautiful day and wonderful weekend!
