We spent last week on holiday in Greece, on the shore of the Ionian Sea, and along with beautiful memories and way too many photos which I am still to go through, this silver bracelet is what I brought back home. I didn’t find it in the many souvenir shops, which, despite their certain charm, are really not my cup of tea, but in the only one that carried genuine art, from ceramics to jewellery, hand-made by Greek artists. The quote is from Baudelaire and although I would have preferred a writing in Greek (remember this piece of jewellery that, yes, I’m still thinking of?), its kind of dark message is in tune with the cold months to come, which gives me one more reason to wear the bracelet long into winter.
