In my twenties, there was no way you could make me wear yellow gold jewellery. I thought it looked misplaced on me, that it was too sophisticated (read conservative) and too grown-up for my age. On the rare occasions I wore gold jewellery, I would opt for white – more subtle and modern, it was my reasoning. Fast forward to my early thirties and the situation has reversed. Now it’s yellow gold that I find more refined and more appropriate to my now better defined personal style. But it has to be the daintiest piece (I’m mostly referring to necklaces), the kind that is noteworthy through its very simplicity.

I love gold jewelry— actually always have. I think it is because my mother’s wedding ring and engagement setting are yellow gold and growing up I couldn’t imagine anything more beautiful….
i could have written this word for word myself. i could not wear gold jewelry at all until i out of my 20’s. and now it’s just the complete opposite! ps i love the styling of this photo.
exactly… i could not wear gold at all. now I wear a golden ring – a present from my husband. it’s the only one gold in my little box full with vintage treasures 🙂 hugs to you, Ada
Really lovely photo Ada. I love gold especially when it’s been sand blasted.
