The construction of the clothes reminds me of Balenciaga. The silhouettes bear a resemblance to Dior. The beautiful blending of these two in his fall 2012 collection lies in Haider Ackermann’s own talent. Those fabric foldings that have become an Ackermann signature, the fabulous pairing of high waist trousers and plunging neckline blouses, corset belts further outlining the body-conscious shapes or sculpting the voluminous looks, an incredibly beautiful colour palette and his even more incredible sense of mixing up the autumn hues. Dramatic and feminine, artistic and sometimes surprisingly simple. Whenever I experience the feeling I had when I saw this collection I remember why I love fashion so much.
I hope you had a lovely weekend and I wish you to make the best of this brand new week!

Aaah, gorgeousness… I adore that purple dress and those maroon pants and black blouse. Simple, understated and stunning. I am totally inspired by those thick rib knit looped scarves/collars; so I will be knitting some very very soon! Those colours are beautiful! Have a great day Ada. xx
I agree with Helen, those knitted extra long scarves make you dream about knitting and now that the first step was accomplished: my gray collar was in time for Vienna, I could try again, maybe a red one :D. Lovely collection, indeed dramatic and artistic, Ada! I am lately a big fan of wide belts, but I am not a high waist pants girl. Have a beautiful week, Ada!
Ooh yes please! The pairing of the different warm reds in the 3rd picture in so beautiful. I loved the corset belt trend so I am so pleased to see them back again (or did they ever really go away)?
Absolutely stunning collection! I’m not surprised you posted it, I was kind of expecting you to do so and ). I love the looks you chose.
Have a wonderful day Ada!
Happy Monday! Love the colors and the shapes! Especially the pants and coats! xoxo
So stunning! I’ve been craving warmer weather but this collection makes me want to bundle up and enjoy the cold. 🙂
Happy Monday, Ada! xoxo
I’m so taken by these looks. Something about the clean silhouettes really appeals to me. These clothes almost make we want to skip right to fall. Almost : )

It’s interesting that this collection resembles Dior a little bit because, if all the gossips are true, he might be one of the designers Dior will go for… And he already worked with Galliano in the past… So we’ll see.
The collection itself really is gorgeous. The colours are so rich and indulgent and I love love love the draping and almost architectural effect.
