It’s always a little hard to get back into the rhythm after the holidays, but I do love the feeling of getting a fresh new start just as soon as the new year strikes in and the challenge of making it better than the last one. These photos by Ditte Isager for Gwyneth Paltrow’s book, It’s All Good (a late Christmas present, which I’m going to talk about in a future blog post) send out just the right message in my opinion: good, simple and natural living, part of those things that matter most. I hope your new year is off to a great start!

I think the only difficult thing for me was getting into bed earlier and getting up while it’s still dark outside. 🙂 Other than that, it’s been a wonderful holiday and sunny and beautiful (today) start of the year. Looking forward to your review of the book – it’s a beautiful edition, though I never thought of getting a copy as I didn’t find her recipes particularly unique. 🙂

I was kind of expecting that her recipes would not be unique, but the truth is that I like simple food and simple dishes and it’s nice to have a few in the same place for reference, even if I have tried variations of them at one time or another.
Wonderful images to start the new year, natural and fresh.
I think Gwyneth’s book has been too long on my wish list and maybe it’s time to do something about that. Since we are on the subject of natural living, I’m in the kitchen experimenting with home-made oatmeal biscuits. The first badge was pretty much without any kind of taste but the second almost perfect. Recipe coming soon!
Can’t wait for you to share that recipe, Lisa!
I am still with one leg in old year : ))) I think it is time to start something fresh, indeed! Have a wonderful new year, Ada! I love this simple look on photos!
Well, I really need to get the wheel moving here because I am having a too long vacation, I moved to Netherlands at the end of October and I think it is time for a fresh start! Enjoy the book!
what lovely photos. she looks so beautiful. i am also finding it hard to get back in the swing of things, but coming up with a few goals (not to be confused with resolutions, i don’t do those ;)) helped to get me out of my holiday fog. i feel ready for the new year, or that i am at least getting there. xo
