Fall, as every new season, brings change, and the colder it gets the more I am looking for ways of bringing more comfort both into my home and into my wardrobe. A great bag always makes a difference, but in autumn it seems to stand out even more. I find the blend of wool and leather as the perfect balance of functionality and style – it’s like an appreciation for the good things (which we tend to become more aware of with the approaching of the holidays) and a promise of carrying around the sense of ease, cosiness and understated elegance of the season. Each one of these styles, from Massimo Dutti’s quilted wool with contrasting leather details messenger bag, to the Gräf and Lantz totes and clutch, all in a combination of merino wool felt (the merino wool felt is the main fabric in the brand’s collections, crafted in beautiful, subtle, minimalist designs) and vegetable tanned leather, is a classic.

I am happy to hear the news about the book, Maria. I can’t wait to get my copy! Have a wonderful week, too!
I like the shape of the first Gräf and Lantz bag. I think I would like it even better with the leather in a deeper shade of brown for more contrast, like the leather in the 4th image. I have never been fond of quilted bags or garments but I like the shape of Massimo Dutti weekend bag.
i thought i could pick a favorite here, but i am not sure i can! i love all of these you have featured! i love the mix of wool and leather as well.
