   we are on the same page today… i just posted a piece with cherry blossoms. this is an exquisite post, so full of beauty, wisdom and passion! i might try and see if i can get the look of the last photo. i simply adore retro and pink… gorgeous post!

    Hi Ada,
    first of all… I pinched that photo of Natalia from the cover of Vogue Russia because I could never find the one without all the writings on it.
    The other photos you chose for this post are so gorgeous… I can’t wait to see magnolias again. I love this time of the year so much….
    As far as the beauty goes… Such a long subject to talk about. I once wrote an essay about beauty, it was based on the quote by Tchekhov, “Beauty will save the world…” but I turned it into a question and… well it’s another story. I might be wrong but I think it was Niezsche who said that we only find beautiful things that we are able to understand, so basically, if I can play on this, I can say that beauty is a state of mind, really… The only thing I’d disagree with Monsieur Elbaz about is that fashion doesn’t necessarily moves forward all the time because, in fact, it moves in circles and comes back every 25 years or so… freshened up, of course, but inspired by the past.

      A post about beauty requires a long debate. Your essay sounds so interesting and I do agree with what you say about beauty, that it can be summed up to a state of mind. Yes, fashion moves in circles and it reinvents itself inspired by the past fashion.
