Ever since I wrote this blog post, I’ve been thinking of reinterpreted and deconstructed trench coats. It will probably take a while until I find what I’m looking for, and a little inspiration will certainly help in the process. Grey remains my first choice, but seeing these sand and pale pink versions will make it just a little more difficult to decide on the colour, especially when I notice how well these shades go with blue. And while I will stick to the slouchy shape and light fabric, a nod to the Armani piece in the aforementioned article, I can not deny that the convertible trench in the first image appeals to me as well – I guess I will always have a soft spot for the utilitarian origins of this style item.

I thought I was more of the traditional-trench type but there is something about the shape of the one in the top photo that I really like. It has an interesting edge, and something tells me that the more I view it the more I will like it.
