Light blue to be exact. It’s my go-to option after the white shirt. And this is exactly how I wear my blue shirt, or any shirt for that matter, in order to keep that balance between elegant and casual: with short skirts and flats, a very important detail when it comes to the mini length, or with jeans and heels. How do you wear yours? Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

Unfortunately, too many women think that mini goes with high heels on a day light! Well, it does not and I am right beside you when you deem that wearing a mini, the heels have no place there! I love flat boots with mini, I intend to “abuse” of that look until the winter arrives. Have a wonderful and warm weekend! π
What a lovely shirt! Enjoy the beautiful end of the week, Kellie xx
I wear it just like this too – i loved those Van Jackman shots so much – i actually prefer a blue shirt in the fall as my skin suits it more than white when i am to be fair very white! have a good weekend xx

Ah the classic blue shirt! One of my favourites. I usually pair mine with skinny jeans and flat knee boots in the winter and ballet pumps in the summer. Have a wonderful weekend Ada!
I need a shirt like that in my wardrobe, but I don’t need the skirt. After a certain age mini skirts are simply out … at least in my opinion π
I appreciate this formula; so simple, so easy, so American.
Have a nice week-end!
I love the shirt in the last photo, with black skinny jeans and stilettos!
Oh and I love the skirt in the first images as well.
Have a gorgeous weekend.
xx
is there anything more useful?
The girl on those first two photos is gorgeous and I adore her outfit very very very much. I love my shirts, too and wear them the same way you do plus I like a fitted shirt+widemusculine trousers+flats combo.
Wishing you a great day, honey! Hope the weather gets better over the weekend. x
You always complete my posts so nicely. And you read my mind too or better said, one more similarity noticed between us, because there is one more way I love wearing a shirt: yes, with wide legged, masculine style trousers and flats. And I know exactly what picture I wanted to post, it’s one taken by Garance DorΓ©. But haven’t been able to find it in my folders. I’ll make an update to the post if I find it. π
Such a beautiful option–there was a time when I had lots of great cotton light blue shirts, but I don’t think I have a single one now–you are inspiring me Ada to add some to my wardrobe–such a great staple!

I love button downs, especially that shade of blue, but I have the most difficult time finding one that fits me perfectly. Where do you get yours?
Tamra, my favourite right now is a Mexx shirt, light blue, with incredible details, like printed buttons and amazing stitching, and I must say it fits perfectly too(I’m a 34). I had a couple from Zara too, but the problem with them is that I have the impression that the sizes got bigger, because now the smallest size is a little loose. xo
It’s such a classic piece, isn’t it? And I love how she paired it with that fabulous skirt.
Have a wonderful weekend, Ada and thanks so much again for next week π xoxo
I’m so happy that you commented on the blog “fashioned by love,” through it I found you. I love your blog and it will be a new MUST READ for me. Thanks for all the timd you put in it.
Also I feel the urge of having a light blue shirt…
Love,
Kristina
Thank you, Kristina, for your lovely words. π
So elegant!
I love masculine shirts, especially in light blue and white. The collection +J for Uniqlo had some amazing pieces and I still regret not having bought a white tuxedo one…Anyway, I’m with Little Rus: I tend to style fitted shirt with boyfriend jeans. Have a great w-e Ada! PS: Apologise if I don’t comment on movie posts…I thought I knew a lot about the great classics (especially comedies), but I’m learning so many things from you…Thanks for your reviews!
Definitely a classic look; I love it paired with the black cigarette pants – very chic! Hope you enjoy the weekend Ada xx
I love a shirt worn casually, pulled out a little and blue is the best!
xxx
Love this! I am thinking I need a go-to shirt like this too!
Perfect shade of blue! Will do wonders for everyone…love the detail on the inside collar. But unfortunately (I’m with LatteLisa) after a certain age the short short mini is not my friend anymore! (unless its winter and I’ve got really thick opaque tights on!)
Helen:)
Perfection!
Ada, Love this simple and chic look and that skirt is to die for. Adore it!! x
Blu shirt is always a must-have!
PS: The dark skirt is amaziiiiiiiiiiiiiing
Have a nice week, Ada
