From boyish caps to 1940s film noir styles and cashmere hats, I can’t think of a more efficient way to craft a sleek, urban look that is at once cool and attractive. There’s a shape for everyone. So I don’t understand why there are women who are afraid to wear a hat. Afraid, because I have the impression that some think that wearing a hat in order to guard themselves against the elements takes away from their appeal. In winter, especially in a climate like ours, the headgear is not only necessary, but also a matter of style. And this goes for men too.
I hope your week is starting off well!

Hats are beautiful on ladies… I agree, its a matter of style. I have a felted grey fedora for winter and a knitted beanie, and a straw fedora for summer – I love wearing them. (even though our winters are nowhere near cold as yours!)… Love Emma Watson and her peaked cap and of course, Joan Crawford in her cloche! Lovely xx
Love this post!
There is an old hat store in the city centre, close to the train station, and I still haven’t visited it. On Saturday it was packed so I decided not to go in, but they had a few amazing red hats in the window and of course many other colours too. I need to have a look when the shop is less crowded. My hat collection is very small … with the emphasis on the word ‘very.’
I guess it depends on personal style… Those who have it got the hat to suit, too. 🙂

I’m looking for warm hat this winter and proposals 1 and 3 could perfect for me. The second one is very classy. Thank you for your suggestion, Ada.
Have a nice week.
emma watson looks so gorgeous in that photo! i love hats, but have a hard time finding ones that work. i would definitely wear that top one though and the bottom hat. i am afraid i am a bit too casual for the middle on but, oh, it is gorgeous!
i agree – i think a hat can be so chic and a perfect complement to a great outfit. i’m not a huge fan of structured hats on me (unless it’s a baseball cap for sports), but i love a wool or knit beanie.
I love hats and when I lived in nyc where it was actually cold enough to wear one, my tiny budget was always in the red from buying Patricia Field hats and also these custom ones from a hatmaker in the East village. I also lost them at an alarming rate. I’ve never been able to embrace the sloppy knit beanie which is that hat of choice in southern california, but a good fedora has been on my list for awhile…

Happy Monday! Love hats and it is the perfect weather for them. I have been wearing beanies…but I will put a hat on soon! xo
I totally agree that there’s a hat style for everyone…it’s such a beautiful look!
Ohh I simply love hats.
Have a beautiful week. Smile loads. xx
I agree that there is a suitable hat shape for everyone. I wear hats year round in the winter to keep warm and in the summer to protect myself and I always feel abit more stylish with one on.

I always feel a bit silly in hats.. Although they’re an essential in the Kiwi summer.

I love wearing hats! I notice most of my friends rarely, if ever, wear them too. They say they’re just not ‘into them… I feel that hats can definitely enhance and even change an outfit. I think the amount of hats I own is comparable to my shoe collection…
