A summer wardrobe essential, the safari dress elicits simplicity, longevity, sexiness and a sense of adventure. Last week I bought my first safari dress as an early birthday present and I can not wait to wear it. But until then, here are a few dresses I’ve been saving in my files that I very much like for the very reasons mentioned above. I’ve chosen items not only from this year, but from past years, too, just to prove the enduring quality of this style.
I hope you enjoyed a relaxing weekend and that you have a great week ahead of you!

timeless essential! gorgeous images, Ada! good wishes and big hugs to you
Happy {almost} birthday Ada! I love this look, it so classic + elegant; I can see how this dress would be a summer wardrobe staple. Looking forward to seeing the pics of your dress! Hope you had a lovely weekend xx
I love the neutral shades of a safari dress… and I like the way its worn on Keira Knightley – with a low slung belt. Hope you had a great weekend Ada :)x
these are great. I think I need one of those asap. would go perfectly with the weather here… happy monday
I couldn’t agree more on the safari dress. I once tried on a absolutely fabulous one from Karen Millen but I was in between sizes so it wasn’t meant to be… One day;) Can’t wait to see an outfit photo from you in your safari dress! I hope you had a beautiful weekend and will have a great new week.
Congrats on your new dress! It will be lovely to get a peek.
This post is a lovely surprise because this weekend I was reading a little something about YSL and the safari look. By the way, I love that photo of Keira.
Never been a safari style fan myself, but I do admire ladies that can pull it off! xxx
Love the 3rd dress! The color, length and fabric are perfect.
Yves Saint Laurent would approve. 🙂 Perfect dress for summer! x
I bet it will look fabulous on you! And it’s important to treat yourself. You’re reminding me to do the same 🙂 Hope your week is off to a wonderful start! xoxo
Hi Ada! Safari style is a chic and contemporary look to dress avery summer. Oh, i love it. Hope you have a wonderful week.
Love this look. Makes me think of Out of Africa.
Great minds think alike Ada, I was just looking at Safari dresses over the weekend. I love the elegant J Mendel one and I had the Arthur Elgort spread on my bulletin board for over a year–just love that one! Happy Monday!

I love this look, but I don’t think I could pull it off. Although I suppose it is a matter of feeling comfortable!

I’ve always loved the safari look and the colors (khaki beige, khaki green, brown) go so well with my blonde hair! Hope you’re having a wonderful summer, Ada.

This week: “And the Forecast is … Popsicles!”
I can’t wait to see photos of your dress! What a great gift to give yourself.
We have already talked about it via Twitter and I ama victim of the charm of a safari dress (and jacket). It feels very ‘Out of Africa’, but also very stylish in a 70s way.
Those dresses are the best thing to own during the summer season!
