When it comes to personal style, one of my strongest convictions has forever been that a beautiful smile is one of our best assets. A genuine smile comes from within and can not be faked, and that’s why, for me, it plays such an important part in the definition of style. And then there is something else, too. You should find something to laugh or smile about every single day. Staying positive works wonders and it helps the ones around you as well. It even has an impact on strangers. I love seeing people smiling or in good spirits in the street. Nobody has a perfect life, we all have all different kinds of problems, but to be able to held your head high no matter what and keep a smile for someone who may be needing it more than you do, that’s the best proof of elegance.
Coco Chanel used to say: “I don’t understand how a woman can leave the house without fixing herself up a little – if only out of politeness. And then, you never know, maybe that’s the day she has a date with destiny. And it’s best to be as pretty as possible for destiny.” I would say, put a smile on your face, too… If not for you, at least to make somebody’s day.
Wishing you a wonderful and sunny weekend!
