For years I have been wearing rounded toe pumps and ballet flats. Not one pair of pointy toe footwear had entered my wardrobe for more than five years when I finally bought the most classic pointy toe black pumps two months ago. And I still can not understand why it took me so long to go back to the most elegant type of shoes there is. And although I will be wearing heels much more often now (here is why), I simply can’t do without flat shoes. And one more change that my short hair cut will bring along is that I’m going to opt for pointy toes more frequently than for the classic ballerina pump. They are undeniably more elegant and feminine, while still comfortable, they flatter the leg and elongate your silhouette. And they go so well with everything, from wide-leg pants that are a bit too long (my favourite way of wearing this trouser shape) and ankle cut jeans, to short dresses and pencil skirts.

My idea was to get me another pair of Massimo Dutti ballerina flats, this time in black. Now that I look at that top photo I wonder if I should go for pointy toes instead. I love that pair!
Ada, we have so much in common! : ) I always was wearing rounded toe pumps and ballet flats. Now, I am looking for a perfect pair of pointy toe flats. And you know, the last year I spent just in flats, and this year I started buying more high-heels as I feel more feminine and confident wearing high-heels! : )
Over the past few months I have slowly accumulated 3 pairs of pointy toe shoes— something (like you) that I have stayed away from for several years. But I have to say, I am so happy with them. I am now looking for a pair of black and nude pumps with this classic shape as well.
