It’s true, my style is simple, classic, but it always has something unexpected to it. Never play the safe card all the way. Rolled up shirt, cardigan, blazer or trench sleeves (I especially like using the cuff straps at the trench coats) and jeans, slightly turned over even t-shirt short sleeves, turned up collars and blazer lapels, tucked in t-shirt or shirt just a little bit in front. That’s modern style to me.

I roll up everything, too. Creating a new silhouette often feels like getting a totally new item of clothing in a wardrobe. And it does make the outfit look less “stiff”, too. xxx
I like the last picture so much! Those large jeans turned over with those amazing ankle sandals! and the watch is beautifully chosen! I am particularly keen on those long blazer, also, these days! Ada, you are a classiq, can I say more? :* Have a beautiful day!
Wow, such classy choices! I love the first photo, but all of them are just great picks Ada!
God is in the details! I’ve been rolling up my jeans and tucking in the tees and shirts just a bit … it makes all the difference.
GREAT POST:) I love those outfits..makes me wanna buy a whole new spring closet:)
I wish you a wonderful week.

These are such chic outfits + I completely agree with you about rolling things up! I love rolling up the sleeves of my blazers for a different look + boyfriend jeans rolled up are a wardrobe staple of mine xx
Glad I stumbled on your blog! I enjoyed reading it—so full of inspiration! Following you!

Those details really make the look, don’t they? I’ve been doing the rolled up sleves with my trench coat lately and I’m loving the look.
Happy Tuesday, Ada! xoxo
Ada, I have missed you!! It’s always such a relief/pleasure to click over for a few moments of style appreciation–I agree, all the details you mention make for classic modern style. I had to laugh, one of my friends recently took me aside and whispered that I might want to tuck the rest of my shirt. I had to laugh and tell her it’s the half-tuck, lol. Hope you’re having a wonderful week!

A touch of camel always makes everything better!
Oh it is all in the roll – fab post – particularly loving the top pic – the sleeve detail is great xx

I little bit of personal touch and playfulness… charming 🙂
This is why I love stopping by here – I often lack creativity when it comes to getting dressed in the morning. And then I visit your blog and find inspiration to be a little different and try a little something new! Thanks Ada!
I’m so glad to have found your blog :). Totally loving all the posts and I’m always rolling my sleeves and half tucking my tops for a laid back chic look.
Definitely following you daily.

Ah those shorts are just incredible! Love with the white blouse.
Just finished up spring and summer with rolled up jeans and pushing up sleeves on a blazer always looks chic for me – I don’t know but I think it has something to do with watching Don Johnson a la Miami Vice? But perhaps chic is not a word to describe him? :)x
This is lovely! Classic fashion 🙂
You are absolutely right Ada: style and elegance can be in the details. I’m a fan of the trench and cardi rolled up ever since I saw the pictures of Yasmin Sewell and Inès de la Fressange…
…modern, timeless and classy.
