Notebook pages and a look at the street style

Before I get to this week’s notebook pages, a little inspiration for this time of year. Hats (by the way, a new tweed newsboy cap has found its way into my autumn wardrobe), scarves, boots, jeans, fabulous bags, knits and trenches, the most beautiful and versatile neutral colours and that special ingredient that holds them all together: great style.

—Two books that made the top of my wish-list: Dior Couture by Demarchelier (already pre-ordered) and Norman Parkinson: A Very British Glamour
—Jean-Claude Ellena, the official in-house perfumer for Hermès: a French perfumer’s seductive sense
The bespoke trench, a customer engagement rather than “the next evolution” for Burberry
—Diane von Furstenberg talks about New York
—Alber Elbaz is writing a book set for publication early next year. I’ve already bookmarked it.

PS: I would like to mention a belated thank you to two lovely ladies, Meghan from Wishful Thinking and Priscilla Joy from House of Tulips, for the blog awards they have passed on to me. I truly appreciate them.
