Here are my latest finds and news from style, fashion, film, photography and beautiful living.
• One of the best articles I’ve read lately: The Great Gatsby and the Epidemic of Pornography Masquerading as Style (by Colin McDowell). Our fashion world today. These things need to be said more often.
• On this weekend’s agenda: Pedro Almodóvar’s new comedy, Los amantes pasajeros (I’m So Excited). It’s going to be hilarious.
• Morocco through the lenses of Jose Villa. Shot on film. Words are needless.
• Effortless summer style: Diane Kruger
• My kind of work space
• During summer I’m all for easy-to-make, simple dishes, so this raw taco fiesta sounds like the perfect bite.
This weekend I’m going to take this advice and I wish you the same: find a beautiful place and get lost!

I am also excited to see Petro Almodovar’s new film with Penelope Cruz and Antonio Banderas, Ada! I am more and more attracted to Morocco and this world so different than ours, thank for sharing those images (I am still asking myself why while staying in Cadiz, Spain last summer did not take the ferry to Morocco for one day). And now up to read the article. Have a wonderful weekend!
Oh, Ada, how much I loved the article!!!!! So deep, thoughtful and, most importantly, honest. Thank you for sharing the link…. Have a wonderful weekend, darling! xxx
I know, Natalia, it says so many things I’ve been thinking. I am glad that there are still people who aren’t afraid to be honest and to express their point of view.
Thank you so much for all this, Ada. I will enjoy exploring each of the links. We got lost at the magnificent Oregon Coast last weekend so this week is catching up in the garden. 🙂 Wishing you a delightful getaway! xo
I didn’t want to leave a comment until I had found time to finish reading that article. It feels so refreshing to read something like this. As you know, I’m going through a phase where I’m rather bored with fashion, well not all fashion, just a certain approach. This article expresses many of my own thoughts. If only we would see more articles like that.
New film by Almodóvar? YES! Have fun!
Jose Villa’s blog is one of my favourite destinations online. I so enjoyed his images from Morocco.
Love the mood in the photos – very summery – and the first two have a sense of innocence that to me is one part of summer. In summertime I find my mind often going back to childhood, to that innocence.
Enjoy your weekend, Ada!
I feel the same thing about the innocence of summer, Lisa. Every 1st of June I think back at the joy and freedom I felt as a child with the arrival of summer. It’s the same feeling I have every single summer.
I also read the BOF article the other day and loved it, and it was well written. Great links! Hope you enjoy your weekend./Madison
Hi Ada,
Thanks for letting me know of that article. For sure I’m going to read it.
Have a great weekend!
Dear Ada, I hope all is well! I finally had the time to catch-up with your lovely posts and I found plenty of inspirations! And now off to read McDowell’s article…I wish you a nice w-e, Caterina
Beautiful and the swing is poetic. Thanks for posting the photos and feel free to drop by me too anytime.
Great article link Ada! I was going to go on with a bit of a rant… but decided against it! Loved that work space too:)xx
