• The Venice Film Festival, the oldest film festival in the world, takes place between 29 August and 8 September. Here are the key contenders: what has arisen my interest the most is Paul Thomas Anderson’s The Master, starring Joaquin Phoenix and Philip Seymour Hoffman, but I’m also looking forward to seeing Julie Christie in Robert Redford’s The Company You Keep. The beautiful editorial is for getting into the spirit.

• Photoshop-free ad campaigns: in search of a real woman
• Up close with Carine Roitfeld, the world’s chicest grandmother
• Prada and Miu Miu for Carey Mulligan, Brooks Brothers for Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire et al: the costumes in The Great Gatsby, but we’ll have to wait until next summer to see all that
• Style.com has the best and vastest runway archive, and I’m very glad I’ll be able to finally properly use their images as they have switched to higher resolution runway photos (in case you’re interested too)
• French, Moroccan and Chinese influences in this unique home; isn’t the recessed bathtub amazing?
• A delicious recipe: tagliarini with chantarelle, corn and peppers

I was sure that the new “The Great Gatsby” will be released this year, however a couple of weeks ago, browsing IMDB, I found out that it will be a 2013 movie, well… I did know that Miuccia will design all her outfits and I am so excited to see the movie even though Robert Redfort and Mia Farrow will always have a special place is my heart. I am totally going to share that photoshop-free article, may I? So that all the women who tried to look better by photoshoping their face’s flaws rethink their “strategy”: not to hide your flaws but to accept yourself as you are! Have a lovely day, Ada :*
In fact Catherine Martin, the costume designer for The Great Gatsby, chose 40 designs from the Prada and Miu Miu archive to adapt for the movie, in collaboration with Miuccia most probably. Of course you can share that article.
Wonderful list! So glad to hear about high-res on style.com Off to check the rest of the links now. x
Bigger images on Style.com just made my day! YAY! And I loved that interview with Carine Roitfeld – aah those Parisiennes… Finally, I knew the mood would change where ‘real’ would be more sought after than digital enhancement – I sense a change in the wind – brilliant! I’m sure the costumes for the new Gatsby film will be fabulous and when I read that Prada had a hand in influencing some of the styling with the houses archives- I can’t wait to see the spectacle. Have a great day Ada- ps; you’re welcome! :)x
I miss Venice!
First, that editorial is simply perfect to get into the Venice Film Festival mood and I have to say that Redford’s film is now on the top of my to-see list.
The Style.com news is great, I have so often wondered why their photos weren’t better as they feature basically all the designers.
I’m intrigued by that recipe and I love the knitwear photo.
Photoshop-free ad campaigns … here is hoping.
Wonderful links Ada, as always. I love your Notebook pages.
I thoroughly enjoyed the article on Carine Roitfeld! If I could look like that at 57, I think I would be a very happy lady!
So looking forward to flipping through your notebook pages at the beach house, Ada! Have a wonderful weekend 🙂 xoxo
The hot Corinne has such a uncompromising and confident look – not trying to be cute but rather interesting. I love her! Thanks for the heads up about the images, you also find the best photos…
I am dying to the Great Gatsby, my favorite book forever and this remake, from the trailer has me mesmerized. I am heart broken that it has been pushed back till next summer, I have already made my significant other promise to see it with me at christmas…so sad!

In love with this images Ada. Beautiful!
I just seen the trailer of The Company You Keep and this movie is certainly going to be on top of my film list for the coming months. Thanks for flagging Carine’s interview: today I read another profile by The New York Times (https://www.nytimes.com/2012/09/06/fashion/carine-roitfelds-new-magazine.html?_r=1&ref=fashion) and I’m really curious to see what her CR will look like, well, surely stylish!
