Here are a few finds and news from fashion, film, design, thoughtfully written down in my notebook.
- Robin Wright looks lovely (talk about someone who is not afraid to show a few wrinkles, this is what I call ageless beauty) in the Gérard Darel autumn-winter campaign making-of video and photoshoot lensed by Peter Lindbergh.
- I am in love with Arizona Muse’s hairstyle in the Louis Vuitton Cruise campaign. The more casual the outfit the more I love the make-up and hairdo.
- Only recently I have learned in detail about René Gruau’s illustrations and his long-term, creative collaboration with Christian Dior and the House of Dior throughout five decades. The book René Gruau: The First Century, by
Sylvie Nissen and Vincent Leret (preface by John Galliano) is currently on my wish list and I hope it contains a large part of his works for Dior.
- I am very anxious to see George Clooney’s The Ides of March.
- Although I wish I had seen it before the 69th Golden Globes Awards ceremony, which will take place at the end of this week, on Sunday night.
- Julianne Moore was photographed by Peter Lindbergh for this incredible editorial for Harper’s Bazaar.

Wow! That’s Robin Wright? She looks absolutely incredible!
That editorial with Julianne Moore as art is amazing!! I also just saw the LV cruise campaign and it made thought and wonder several times. In some ways it looks so ordinary and how come they put her similating to go drive a bike in THAT ultra mini jeans short (seriously?), but on the other hand I love the fresh looks, the red lips and the hair and Paris, of course.
This campaign with Robin Wright looks beautiful too by the way 🙂
Good morning Ada and thank you for sharing these lovely notebook thoughts! I saw The Ides of March a couple of weeks ago and I was really impressed. I hope you’ll get to watch it before the Golden Globes…
These are beautiful, effortless and feminine shots. Truly inspiring.. I really want to see Ideas of March too!!
xx
they look so beautiful, both Robin W. and Julianne M. 🙂
I adore her and I’ve loved this particular campaign since I saw a few shots in magazines. Thank you for the video, darling, it’s been so wonderful to watch the story in the making. So charming and beautiful.

I’ve been a fan of Robin Wright since forever! Loved that video, hadn’t seen it before.
Love all your links. Want to see the Clooney film too and can’t wait to tune in on Sunday to see the Golden Globe – ceremony and red carpet 😉 That would be me watching TV for the first time in 2012.
Lisa, that will be my first TV watching in 2012 as well. The Australian Open starts on Monday too, so I will stay tuned to watch that one too as often as I can. The Golden Globes, Oscars and the grand slam tennis tournaments are pretty much the only times I watch TV.
Robin Wright looks absolutely stunning! I’ve been a fan of her forever since she started on a soap opera here in the 80s called Santa Barbara. Wow, I just dated myself! 🙂 xoxo
Robin Wright looks incredible! I love these photos.
I have seen the Ides of March and love it! However, my attention was on Ryan Gosling more than George this time 😉 I would say that the light is more on his character! Have a nice evening :*
I’m interested in the movie because George Clooney directed it, not because he stars in it. He is a good actor, but he is a very good director. 🙂
Robin is and has always been gorgeous! I met her when she was first starting out on a soap opera and later she carried one of my bags to the Oscars, she is such a beautiful woman and I always look forward to her roles because she’s also a really good actress in my opinion.
P.S. I’m putting that Rene Gruau book on my wishlist…along with the Dior one!

How wonderful, Mary Jo. I would like to see that photo of hers carrying your bag. 🙂
Love Robin Wright and she just looks so gorgeous in these photos!
That is absoulutely fantastic! So chic and so beautiful!

Robin Wright is such an incredible actress and she looks amazing! I love Peter Lindbergh’s work. He’s one of my favorite photographers! I do enjoy the Golden Globes esp. the red carper arrivals.
Robin Wright does not age, she looks fabulous!
totally agree.. alexa chung’s hair and makeup is perfect. i would love to be able to pull off a short cut like that! by the way, definitely did not recognize robin wright at first. she looks amazing. xo
HI Ada, Robin Wright looks totally ageless…great photos and editorial. Along with Christian Berard, I love Rene Gruau and treasure a framed fashion illustration that I have by Gruau which was bought in Paris years ago. Can’t wait to see Ides of March too – Gosling / CLooney- what a gorgeous combination! I didn’t know the Globes were on this week… must definitely watch the red carpet (there, now I’ve made a mental note to remember..)
Have a great day,
Helenx
