This is what I’m looking for in clothes. A quality of innate easiness in wearing them that only men’s clothes have. Clearly inspired from the smoking (the tailoring of the skirt, with the side pockets and satin stripes, and the flap detail at the waist, that I think suggests the deconstruction of the tuxedo jacket), I do love this reimagining of mannish style for the feminine shape.

Love it!
Ada, I have to admit that embellishment is something I like and you have said it once: I am a Dior girl (without Dior clothes, of course). However, two years ago when I discovered your blog I realized that there can be other styles (masculine inspiration) that one girl can embrace and still be so feminine and chic. This year, my events gown will be black, so you had some influence ;). I would love to see one of your events dress, Ada :*! Kisses
Oh, but I do love feminine outfits too (although I’m not a Dior girl). But the fact is that most of all I like to combine styles: not too feminine, but not too masculine inspired either: feminine dresses with flats, jeans with heels, printed t-shirt with pencil skirt, this kind of mixtures. This is what really represents me, not only one style in particular. As for events dresses, it’s usually the LBD or a blue or black and white dress. But I would love to try a red dress one day soon. 🙂
This is oh so perfect!
🙂
You know, this was one of my top 3 favourite collections! And I don’t normally turn to MMM. Absolutely beautiful!!! x
I don’t usually turn to MMM either, but this collection spoke to me. It was really good and I loved a few looks.
This dress has a great sense of elegance and ease.
