It’s something I’ve always loved about this first photo lensed by Arthur Elgort: maybe it’s Karen Mulder’s attitude, but it’s also something about her outfit, an edginess, that mix of classic and extravagant. The ensemble she’s wearing consists in fact of a black jersey mini dress with a velvet collar under the picturesque draped organza skirt, both Gianfranco Ferrè creations. That’s a look I love for the sake of fashion. And I love the second look for its cool simplicity and just because of how easily I can translate it into my wardrobe, with already existing pieces in my closet.

I just love that photo of Karen Mulder! She’s one off my all time faves. Also love that look in the last photo. She’s so effortlessly chic!
I’ve seen the second photo, too and thought it was gorgeous… although I’d be tempted to replace the shorts with a skirt, because it’s just me. The editorial is simply gorgeous and it’s amazing how some pieces never seem to age…
Hope you are having a great day, darling!

I love the huge Ferre skirt. It’s perfect even with the simplest of the tops. I’m a big for for evening skirts and Jil Sander has been a great inspiration to turn this pieces into something more wearable, like in the SS 2011 collection.
