There is nothing that says comfort quite like a checkered, tartan or houndstooth pattern, even when paired with a pencil skirt and towering heels. And in autumn, more so than in any other season, a piece of that kind gives you the feeling that it’s a natural part of who you are. To keep it simple and classic, the idea is to use just one patterned item and break it up with solid pieces to visually balance things out. A look that is refined, yet relaxed. And yes, today I’m wearing a black and white checkered scarf – it’s so understated that it could be considered neutral, hence I threw a striped top into the mix. That’s the beauty of fashion: you can make your own style rules, and they might only work for you, but that’s all that counts. Have a great week everyone!

Beautiful inspirations! Though what I love the most are the shoes on the first photo… 🙂 I guess because I have been looking for a pair for ages now… x
