I’m one of those who loved the fact that Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana once again celebrated Dolce’s homeland, turning to Sicily’s vibrant and rich civilisation for inspiration. I too forgot about autumn and felt as if I was on holiday. Watching the show from home didn’t hinder me from feeling that with every look that came down the runway it was like I was walking on the Sicilian streets, marveling at the colourful life, crafts and traditions. From pencil- and full-skirt dresses and beachwear in folkloric prints or solid stripes to the corsages and crinolines woven from raffia and black lace or tulle, ornate earrings and all the other artisanal accessories, this was an artistic manifestation that I thoroughly enjoyed. What would I wear? The headbands, stripes, the flat shoes and those amazing bucket bags.

Stunning! Love the black and white stripes 🙂
That was a delightful show, to say the least and I love the way you have combined Scott and Garance’s photo with other runway photos.
I simply loved the Milan Fashion Week; there was just so much of wonderful collections.
It just keeps better and better doesn’t it! I loved this show – colour, fun, sexiness, retro touches, vibrancy… just fantastic. This old school Dolce e Gabbana…And yes, the shoes, the bags, the earrings and the those stripes! xx
i especially love the stripes
i’m loving the mix of textures and the patterns, but of course my favorites are the black + white stripes!
OH wow. You’re right. The bucket bags are killer. I’m also a super big fan of the shoes, and really the silhouettes in general.
They’ve managed to take busy fabrics and strange textures and really contour them to the female frame. The last model’s outfit fits AMAZINGLY, and I love that one famous model (don’t know her name) in the all-red ensemble. It’s such a potentially unflattering collection, but it’s done just right so as to completely compliment each woman.
Thanks so much for featuring all of these unique shots. I haven’t seen so many great ones together at once!

You are so right, it’s hard to think of the cold autumnal air outside when you look at these creations. They are so vibrant and sexy and full of life! The horizontal stripes are simply fabulous but my favourite is the last outfit!
I am completely in love with the first stripped suit!!! love it! thanks for your charming foto selection!! As usual you have a very chic eye!!!
Thank you. 🙂
It was beautiful, although I didn’t include it in my tomorrow’s post… I love the fact that they stay true to themselves and don’t try to please trend-setters. But I really really really missed high heels…. I know, it’s almost a cliche, but for me, Dolce&Gabbana woman wears heels – something they have mentioned in one of their interviews a couple of years ago, but obviously changed their mind now.
