Coats should be part of any pre-fall or autumn/winter collection, don’t you think so? No matter how classic, deconstructed or futuristic, we need these more textured items in our wardrobes for half of the year at least. I can’t really understand such a collection entirely formed of dresses, for example (does any brand think that locally nowadays?). I first wanted to do a post about the coats I liked at the pre-fall collections so far: Calvin Klein, Bottega Veneta, Burberry Prorsum, Helmut Lang. They are all dark coloured. And then I saw these two oversized ones (I love that shape) from Ports 1961, in cobalt blue and vibrant red: such attention-grabbers, in a good way. Even my classic-style-embracing self needs a little diversification from time to time, if only for inspiration.

oooh, love the red coat… even though I generally stick to charcoal, black or brown for winter everything in that image looks good – those shoes are fabulous!:)
I know, I love the look too. The floral shoes and leather pants, I’m so into this clash of styles.
Am in love with both of them! Also the pants and boots! xo
Yes, yes, yes, I am for colorful coats, but I think you know already. However, I am now in the neutral period, for almost 6 months I have not bought colorful clothes. And those red boots…pfff
They are gorgeous! You know I had a red coat once, it was as red as this one… And I miss it badly. I think it’s a stage in life when one craves colour and it becomes almost an obsession. 🙂
On a different note… Just saw the latest Dior campaign… 🙁 Have you seen it? It feels like they used previous Dior perfume ads mixed with Hermes and Vuitton from the past and photographed everything a la Tim Walker! So poor I almost cried… I think I am putting a big fat cross over Dior as it is now. 🙁
the red coat is beautifu! love the pre-fall collections of Bottega Veneta too. Happy holidays to you, Ada
hugs
I wish that red coat were mine, it’s perfect.
The blue colour wouldn’t suit me but I love the red boots.
Great finds!
