This is one of my favourite weekend activities and if I happen to discover titles I haven’t heard of, but which are of true interest to me, that can easily make my day. I buy most of my books online, but the feeling of browsing a traditional, small trade bookstore and purchasing a book you’re looking forward to take home on the spot can not be beaten. These three volumes by Paula Reed, part of my findings on my latest book hunting around town, are a little gem, covering fashion looks and cultural movements, models, designers and figures of style representative of the fifties, sixties and seventies decades. The photographs are highly suggestive and the text is very educational and wordy enough to make the books a good source of information for anyone interested in fashion and its vast influence on all aspects of life.
