Minor details can radically transform a simplistic laid back style, in traditional summer blue/navy and white in this case, and imprint it a sort of elegance that takes it to downtown chic with such an ease. It can be a blazer-style jacket over jeans and breton t-shirt, elegant bermudas instead of short pants and a feminine striped top, or simply a fancy shoulder bag to offset a very casual look composed of dungarees and a blouse with ethnic motifs (isn’t that Étoile Isabel Marant top beautiful?). It’s in the cut and the accessories, always.
Gorgeous inspirations, Ada. And I wish that Saint Laurent bag was mine…. x
Navy and white has ways been a summer favourite of mine .Always looks fresh and stylish. Love the first outfit but I’ve always liked stripes too!
Now all I can think about -style-wise – are those elegant bermudas in the second image. I didn’t even know that I was craving something like that … but now I do!
I know, Lisa, those bermudas have been on my mind too. 🙂
i love all of these look. i am especially smitten with the last blouse, such pretty detail.
I’m such a fan of navy and white – love your photos + agree that Isabel Marant does the prettiest peasant blouses.
xo Mary Jo
Love the ethnic motif blouse, I received two a week ago and I went crazy over them 😉 not Isabel Marant, but the authentic Romanian blouse that look sublime even after 40 years 😉
I love the traditional Romanian peasant blouse too, Florina. It is a lifetime investment.
Blue is my ‘black’ so I’m a big fan of this colours combination! Evangelie has an impeccable style!
